In 2009, I was commissioned to create an audio visual experience during Nuit Blanche. One of the first artist to get access to the new lighting on the CN Tower.
Bright Lights, Big City synchronized the lighting system on the CN Tower to a radio broadcast on CIUT. It was visible throughout the city all night long rotating between a new audio work by if then do and a DJ mix by Jokers of the Scene.
The project was produced for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche on October 3rd, 2009 as part of NIGHTSENSE curated by Jennifer Fisher and Jim Drobnick.

This documentation shows the graphic composition used to visualize an original score by Ottawa duo if then do. The long and thin pixel-based image scrolls through the 2 x130 pixel lighting structure of the tower allowing for complex patterns to be created not before seen on the the towers lighting system.
This clip above captures the final minutes of a section of my collaboration with if then do.
The scrolling image across the bottom of the screen is the music visualization used to created the light show.
